Largest Range of Hobart Honeycomb blinds

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Honeycomb blinds, also known as cellular shades, are great for keeping the summer heat out as we head into the spring weather. They work by trapping air within their honeycomb-shaped cells, creating an insulating layer between your windows and your room. This insulation helps to reduce heat transfer, keeping your space cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.  We have the largest range of honeycomb fabrics in the Tasmania. With over 600+ individual colour and fabric combinations.

Here are a few tips for maximizing their effectiveness:

  1. Choose the Right Cellular Shade: Honeycomb blinds come in a variety of cell sizes and fabric types, a shade with a higher R-value (a measure of thermal resistance) for better insulation. Some models also have reflective or UV-blocking coatings for added protection against heat.  The smaller the cell size and the translucently of fabric will have a lower R-value while the larger or double/cell in cell will have a higher R-value.
  2. Cell Sizes:  Cell sizes and fabric options are as follows;
    • 16mm, translucent & blockout
    • 20mm, translucent & blockout
    • 25mm/26mm, sun mesh, translucent, woven  & blockout
    • 38mm Single and 38mm Cell in Cell or Double, sun mesh, translucent, woven & blockout.
    • 45mm, translucent, woven & blockout
    • 62mm , translucent & blockout
  3. Install Properly: Make sure the blinds are installed snugly and cover the entire window. Gaps around the edges can let in heat.  You can also frame honeycomb blinds so a total blockout honeycomb blinds.
  4. Close Them During Peak Heat: Keep the blinds closed during the hottest part of the day to block out the sun’s rays and reduce heat gain.
  5. Combine with Other Window Treatments: Layering with curtains or drapes can provide additional insulation and block out more light.  With our new woven fabrics which have a sheer linen look, match some of sheer linen curtain fabrics.
  6. Consider Top-Down/Bottom-Up Options: These styles allow you to control light and heat more flexibly, as you can open the top portion while keeping the bottom covered.
  7. Control Types: Motorised honeycombs are are great option available in both a DC and 240v solution, we also offer cordless, topdown/bottom up, chain or continuous loop, and final tension honeycomb blind
  8. Sizes of Honeycomb Blinds: The minimum width is 250mm wide, however we have the ability with most fabrics to go to 3000mm wide our largest width honeycomb can be 5000m wide.

By using honeycomb blinds effectively, you can enjoy a cooler indoor environment and reduce the load on your air conditioning system.
